Hacks

• Zelda 3 Challenge: Quest for Calatia -When completed, this will be an entirely different game in the Zelda series, featuring new worlds, music, graphics, and dialog. Information on this hack is available here. Created by GameMakr24.

• The Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds -A new hack released by Euclid and Seph that came out on December 31, 2006. It is a very extensive hack that modifies the whole overworld as well as dungeon maps. The game includes a modified story, original puzzles, lots of new graphics, a high degree of difficulty, and a boatload of other stuff. This is currently the most extensive Zelda 3 hack available to date. It can be found at: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/197/

Note: This hack was previously known as "Tower of the Triforce", and a demo was released some years ago.

• The Legend of Zelda: Dark Prophecy -A previously known hack trapped in production hell was worked on by Omega, Dude Man, Mathonnapkins since around 2004 (with some excellant graphics provided by Bit Blade). It started as a simple extention to a test hack known as Zelda Omega (available for download..er...somewhere...google it) but after a while grew to completly replace Omega as a stand alone hack. Many screens were offered and hype built over time but due to lack of time (ie real life) production slowed down. Dark Prophecy is still in development, but due to real life constraints it has no official release date.

• The Legend Of Pervert -Dialog has been changed. Link's uncle is streetwise, Zelda talks dirty and is being a Morrigan wannabe, and Agahnim has changed his name... to Faghim. It's available at DopeRoms.

GameMakr24's site is back! Zelda 3 Challenge: Quest for Calatia will be a complete rewrite of Zelda 3, with a new overworld, new dungeons, etc. According to a post by GameMakr24 on Acmlm's the project is still going on.
