Template:Hacked    The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy (also known as Fantastic Dizzy) is a platform/adventure game about an egg-shaped hero who must rescue his girlfriend from the evil wizard Zaks.

Miscellaneous

There are two versions of this game. The first one (known as blue because of blue Dizzy Logo on the title screen) was released in gold cartridge form in 1991, and the second one (red) was released in 1992 and on an Aladdin cart in 1993.

Differences:

  • The blue version has 100 stars; the red version has 250.
  • Dizzy walks a lot faster in the red version, and the inventory system is a bit simplified - when Dizzy picks up an item, it goes as far to the right of inventory window as possible.
  • There are some terrain changes, and some items are in different places.
  • Few puzzles were altered.

Additional note: All versions of Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy released in Europe are identical to the Aladdin version, though Europe received yet another update of the game, featuring multiple languages (English, French and German).

Hacks

Green Dizzy

Green Dizzy is a hack of blue TFAoD. The authors have modified color palletes and redesigned all locations in game. Most of the key items had changed their locations, too. Also, the trolley in mines moves now faster. For more information, please visit Green Dizzy project page on Romhacking.net.

Zaks Fury

The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy: Zaks Fury is an upcoming hack of red TFAoD. That hack will feature new locations, enemies and characters, and a lot of ASM modifications.
